Draught Horse:
The latest educational addition to the Museum, a flat-pack horse that will help to demonstrate the early use of horses by the Tramway to pull the wagons from the quarries above Glyn Ceiriog to the Shropshire Union Canal at Gledrid.
Built by Norman Stainthorp from a design created by the Shropshire Union Fly-boat Restoration Society Ltd.
It is hoped that this display will be of interest particularly to local school children as it can be positioned on the track outside the Museum to create a more realistic impression of how horses were involved.
