Our Photography Policy:
You may take photographs inside our Museum and of items in our collection but in doing so you agree to the following conditions:
Still photography using cameras, smartphones and other devices is permitted (without flash, tripod or pole) for your personal use only.
Filming or making any video recording is not permitted, even for personal use, without our prior written agreement.
You will not display in any public place, publish or sell, nor use for advertisement, promotion or other commercial purpose, any of the photographs that you take inside our Museum or of items in our collection without our prior written agreement and the payment of any license fees that we may require.
We impose the above conditions in relation to photographs taken inside our Museum or of items in our collection for the following reasons:
Displaying in a public place, publishing or commercial use of the photographs may diminish the attraction of our Museum as a place to visit and our income from visitor sales, donations and subscriptions.
Licensing of photographs for display, publication, sale or commercial use helps us raise additional funds so that we can continue to care for and provide public access to our collection.
If photographs are used with inaccurate information about our Museum, the Trust or our collection, it can damage our public reputation.
